Show guests do not get a sample of the food Rachael is cooking, the closest the audience gets is its delicious aroma. The audience should expect to do a lot of clapping, smiling and making approving sounding cooing noises when the food is involved, but not much else. Eat breakfast before you come.
While leftover food from cooking shows can often be given to the rest of the crew to eat, hygiene protocols don't always allow that when a judge or cook has already eaten some, or when dishes have been sitting out too long during filming. Covid has heightened those precautions, said Naik.
“I've made the decision that it's time for me to move on to the next exciting chapter in my broadcast career,” Ray announced on March 3, after the series had seen a significant decline in ratings in recent years. She said she would instead be focusing on her recently announced production arm, Free Food Studios.
However, luckily, the cancer rumors turned out to be false. That said, it doesn't mean that Ray was completely fine. A representative for Ray spoke to People following The National Enquirer story and said Ray did indeed need surgery on her vocal cords, but the surgery was just to remove a benign cyst.

Ray focuses on creating meals in less than 30 minutes. Ray has also done two specials with the title Thanksgiving in 60, about preparing a Thanksgiving dinner in one hour. Each episode Ray opens the show by saying "Hi there, I'm Rachael Ray and I make 30-minute meals.
Competition shows can take up to 12 or 14 hours to film, so the final dish isn't always what the judges taste. Food waste is dealt with differently depending on the show, but it is usually donated, eaten by the crew, or thrown out.
